Navin Narayan Scholarship is Available
The Navin Narayan Scholarship was named in honor of a past chair to the National Youth Council who embodied what it means to be a youth of the American Red Cross. The winner of this prestigious scholarship can also be proud that they are being associated with someone who was such an amazing advocate for youth involvement in the American Red Cross.  We strongly encourage any of our amazing youth volunteers to apply for this one time award of $2,500.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the chapter.

Disney Give a Day Get a Day
Whether you’re interested in volunteering or in receiving a free ticket to Walt Disney World Resorts, the Disney Give a Day Get a Day program is perfect for you.  Volunteers who work with the Red Cross for a day will receive a free one day ticket to DiseyWorld.  Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult, and some additional paperwork is necessary.  Visit http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/disneyparks/en_US/WhatWillYouCelebrate/index?name=Give-A-Day-Get-A-Disney-Day for more Information or contact the Red Cross volunteer services at volunteerservices@centex,redcross.org for details

There are a variety of ways to volunteer at home or with a group you’ve already got in place. Have you considered….
...A fundraising campaign, either collecting change, or creating a guitar hero contest?
...Gathering new stuffed animals to give to children after a housefire or other disaster?
...Volunteering in the chapter office a few times a month to help keep costs down?
...Taking a CPR or First Aid class to gain valuable lifesaving skills?
...Representing the Red Cross at a health fair, parade, or local event?
...Sending Christmas Cards to our servicemen and women abroad?

If these sound interesting to you, let us know. We can help you make a difference in your community!
